We are a uniquely-valued mission partner delivering daily technical excellence and innovative solutions to our government customers. We are also expanding our scope with our expertise in ICBMs to assist Department of Defense efforts in launching satellites and with other space-related defense projects. It is a long-term project that will remain operational until at least 2075. This program is set to modernize the entire ICBM weapon system to secure and support a newly designed, technologically advanced ballistic missile. These enhancements serve to keep the MM III viable as until the mid-2030s, when the system is scheduled to be replaced by the future GBSD ICBM now in development.īAE Systems is also an integral part of the development, deployment, and sustainment of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) ICBM Program. Over 50 years of continuous modernization programs have resulted in new versions of the missile, expanded targeting options, and improved accuracy and survivability.

The MM III is a strategic nuclear weapon system dispersed in hardened silos to protect against attack, and connected to an underground launch control center through a system of hardened cables. We support the Center in sustaining the existing LGM-30 Minuteman III (MM III) weapon system.
